ABOUT TINA
I was born and raised in North Texas. I have a passion for capturing the simple, quiet drama of life. Living in Texas, traveling throughout the state, and my deep connection with my family inspire my paintings. I want to capture moments in time that evoke innocence in the unassuming subjects who grace my canvas.
MY PROCESS
I paint from photos taken by family or me. Much of the inspiration comes from trips around Texas or from my own backyard. I start with a sketch on paper or directly on the canvas. Then I use acrylic washes for the underpainting and finish with layers of high-quality oils. All of my paintings are sealed with semi-gloss archival varnish.
